I have an issue here , while uploading any photos it give me an http error
and the photo dimensions become 0×0
not all the time but 95% of the time I got this error ,
How I can resolve that !?

I’ve had a quick search and didn’t find what I was looking for.

I want to know how you create tabs/page icons on the home page.

Etc

I can see them in the theme preview and want to know how I go about setting them up. I have very little knowledge of creating websites.

Since originally posting I went back to it and after a bit of searching and experimenting came up with something which seems to work:

(In this example, the site has a static front page and the posts page is ‘clips’.)

I don’t pretend to understand much of this stuff, and there’s a few things which seem odd but without which I couldn’t get things to dispay as required.

There’s no reason why it would be part of the WordPress installation documentation. It’s strictly a server configuration issue.

Thanks but how can you assign a menu to a page. I can create a menu but it appears on every webpage.
I have different books on each webpage and each post is a page from a book. The post titles are page numbers so I want a menu with page numbers across the top of the webpage. Each book will have 100 or so pages so I need 100 post titles in the menu.

this is the “register widgetized sidebars” section in my functions.php file:

I copied one of the entries and then pasted it above the first entry and renamed it ‘name’ => ‘Top Sidebar’.

This adds “top sidebar” to my widgets but if I add a widget to it it shows up in the left sidebar position and is only the width of the left sidebar.

This is the CSS entry for left and right sidebars:

I tried adding #sidebar-top with a width equal to the left and right sidebars combined and various float/clear combinations but nothing seems to work.

I have deleted this plugin and its still loading the background on my wp-head() or something else in header

To anyone wondering, you add the <?php do_action… code to a theme .php file to display the widget in a theme.
